Hanh cave

Hanh cave is 9 km away from  Cam Pha town to the west. Hanh cave is beautiful and the longest cave to all of the other caves on Halong Bay. It's 1300m in length, run through the Quang Hanh mountains range to the sea. The small boats wriggled through the winding runnels under the flickering torchlight with clusters of stalactites hanging down from the ceiling showing the animated magic colors. The French named Hanh cave "Le Tunnel". Its entrance is very low so that people have to use small boats to get in.

At Cam Pha pier, you can rent boats or canoes to visit Hanh cave. Near the entrance, there are small boats to navigate inside Hanh cave. Normally, a small boat complete its task in side the runnel in about 60 - 90 minutes. Hanh cave is fit to adventurous travellers because they must be true connoisseurs to the tides else they will be trapped in this chasms palace.
There is a small temple close to the entrance called Ba Co temple (the temple for the three ladies). Legend tells there were three ladies went to the beach and encounter a heavy rain so that they hid in this cave. The 3 ladies found the scenes inside the cave so amazing and forgot about the sea level and could not get out. After that they turned into the three nixie and till now people keep praising them to smoothly travel on the sea.
