Vung Vieng fishing village



Vung Vieng fishing village is on Bai Tu Long bay, located to the Northeast of Vietnam close to coal mines  Cua Ong - Hon Gai - Cam Pha and Van Don the old trading port, and further north to the Mong Cai border gate, Tra Co beach. It is inhabited by thousands of fishermen busy all year-round with the living but stay humorous and warm. Especially, when visitors come here, they often get to experience and explore the lives of the fishermen. That's one of the features that make the Vung Vieng fishing village always interesting to the visitors.

To visit Vung Vieng fishing village, visitors need a small bamboo boat and get through Hang Cao cave - a famous cave in Bai Tu Long Bay (which is considered as a natural village gate). The pictures of Vung Vieng fishing village is very idyllic, flickering floating houses with back against the mountains, raft floats used in clams culture for pearls. The more you go into the village, the more open space you get. The cages for aquaculture are located along the cliffs. The cobia, grouper, sea bass are fed to to cater the restaurant system or to export. You may find some aquariums here a hobby feeding Osphronemidae fish, Alectis indica fish... all are very beautiful. Sometime you will see a few birds such as the black stork, heron fire flying out for a few sounds and then bdisappeared into the mountains. In the center of the village, there is a large house and most beautiful, because it is a communal house.
